Chick-fil-A at Perimeter Pointe and Hammond Drive in Atlanta, GA is run by Alex Rodriguez, who has worked for Chick-fil-A for 38 years. Alex became an operator in Atlanta in 1999 and currently employs about 160 team members. Alex is passionate about developing leaders and helping them get to where they want to be in life. He is eager to develop leaders and share his experience  and wisdom with individuals who want to learn the business of Chick-fil-A. His store exists to serve with a commitment to excellence and serving with a generous and selfless heart.

Job Description

This individual will rotate through various aspects of the business. The ultimate goal for this role is to prepare individuals to pursue their own Chick-fil-A franchise or a position at Chick-fil-A Corporate after at least 2-3 years of rotating through the business. This person will participate in the Cultivate  CFA leadership development program that was developed by Alex and his team of leaders. Alex and his team have developed 12 Chick-fil-A operators through this training program. This person will serve as a Director and will begin working as a team member to learn the foundational principles of the operation. After about 3 months, this individual can expect to begin working as a shift leader and progress into a Director role by month 6. This individual will rotate through different Director roles to become a well-rounded leader ready to pursue a long-term opportunity as a Chick-fil-A Operator or with Chick-fil-A Corporate.


  • Participate in Cultivate CFA Leadership Development Program
  • Follow week-by-week development plan toward the end goal of becoming an Owner/Operator in Chick-fil-A
  • Rotate through multiple aspects of the business to gain knowledge of the total operation
  • Within the first 3 months, take on the responsibilities of a team lead to gain a working understanding of leadership
  • Within the first 6 months, take on additional responsibilities of a Director which includes: development and feedback for team members; processing applications, interviewing, orientation for new hires; and contribute to leadership team meetings among other things
  • Meet with Chick-fil-A Owner/Operator for mentoring and development on an ongoing basis


  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • 1+ year of previous leadership experience (this can include leadership experience during high school or college years)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to own a business
  • Optimistic individual willing to push through adversity on a daily basis
  • Hungry to be developed and passion to develop others
  • Effectively coach and give feedback with enthusiasm and energy
  • Positively impact the people and culture around you
