Job Description

The Assistant Director of Operations will play a critical role within the business. This individual will have their hand in multiple aspects of the restaurant from managing their department to business planning and strategizing. This key individual will impact the day to day business functions of the Chick-fil-A restaurant. After an initial 60 - 90 day training period, this individual will be moved into a specific department to fit their skillset. This individual will be intentionally developed and the right person will have the chance to greatly expand their future leadership influence and capacity. The ultimate goal of the role is for candidates to pursue owning their own Chick-fil-A after an initial 3 years of learning the Business in Baytown, TX!

Key Responsibilities Include: 

  • Supervise daily operations within a specific department
  • Oversee all business quality & standards
  • Inclusion in business planning & strategies
  • Complete essential Managerial tasks within specific department
  • Create business goals and analyze trends, results, and project future of the business
  • Managing business budgets & finances
  • Inclusion in all HR decisions including but limited to hiring, separations, recruiting, promotions, etc
  • Analyzing customer experience data and creating plans to improve experience
  • Analyzing the monthly business’ P&L
  • Help lead weekly, monthly, & bi-annual meetings with Staff and Management
  • Be a decision maker in all aspects of the business
  • Oversee department training and personal development
  • Monthly one on one meetings with the Owner/Operator for training/personal development

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in management, leadership, or operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Business is a plus
  • Genuine heart and care for people
  • Great communicator - must be willing to direct and guide the team
  • Leading by example - be willing to get your hands dirty
  • Quick thinker and decision maker
  • Passionate
  • Experience leading a team - either in high school, college athletics or a business setting is preferred
