Job Description
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Sales Manager with pharmaceutical/biotechnology analytical instrumentation background located in India/ Hyderabad responsible for sales and support of all Validation hardware and software products for LifeScience markets, in particular customers in Pharmaceutical and Biotech segments.
Beside deep industry knowledge a strong sales expertise in selling analytical instrumentation
Responsibilities include:
• Builds and executes territory Orders & Sales plan geared towards driving market growth and penetration of Pharmaceutical and Biotech accounts, in a committed manner.
• Develops technical and market expertise on products and applications, using this knowledge to provide pre and post sales support for key accounts.
• Accurately forecasts Orders and Sales bookings on a weekly basis.
• Prepares & conducts sales presentations, addressing all relevant areas, up to client’s board level
• Demonstrates technical equipment, providing customers with technical pre sales support.
• Identifies opportunities in existing and new accounts and supports third party channels.
• Identifies and targets decision making and buying centers.
• Establishes objectives & action plans for the territory, maintaining up-to-date customer databases.
• Develops strong individual working relationships with customers, gaining in-depth knowledge of customer needs.
• Develops & maintains in-depth expertise of key applications in Pharmaceutical/LifeScience markets
• Recommends and participates in trade shows and local industry associations.
• Provides management with continuous market intelligence through monthly reports, observations of customer needs and competitive activities.
• Recommends actions needed to improve market share in the region.
• Closely interacts with and reports to the India Sales Account manager of Kaye.
• Supports as customer’s advocate in providing after sale troubleshooting for support of any issues.
• Support service Profit center to grow revenue.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in business administration or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2-3 years sales experience, esp. in selling process or analytical instrumentation into the Pharmaceutical Industry
• Proven industrial technical understanding and expertise in instrumentation and validation
• External focus with strong ability to understand customer’s business critical processes
• Excellent Problem Solver and Change Agent; can do-attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication, in particular sales presentation skills
• Knowledge of customer base in the assigned region.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%
Additional Information
• BE / B Tech ( equivalent ), Instrumentation / electronics / Biomedical
• Knowledge of Validation and regulatory guidelines, like GAMP and FDA 21 CFR Part 11
