Job Description

Teller / Member Service Rep 

We’re looking for a friendly, dependable, and service-focused team member who enjoys helping people and keeping things running smoothly. This position plays an important role in delivering fast, accurate service to members both in person and over the phone.

In addition to assisting members with everyday transactions and account needs, this role helps support the Call Center to ensure member calls are answered promptly. The person in this position will also provide support across departments and branches as needed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform teller transactions at the teller counter
  • Post teller transactions received through incoming mail
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist members with questions
  • Support the Call Center Supervisor with balancing the branch ATM and cash vault
  • Order supplies when the Call Center Supervisor is unavailable
  • Assist members with address changes, account adjustments, and other account maintenance needs
  • Order Visa Check Cards and process card maintenance requests
  • Process member check orders and reorders
  • Mail overdraft notices to members
  • Process ACH and check stop-payment requests
  • Complete ACH origination forms
  • Provide backup support to employees at other branches as needed
  • Assist other departments as needed
  • Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors

Qualifications

  • Previous teller, cash-handling, banking, credit union, or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail when handling cash and member transactions
  • Comfortable working directly with members in person and over the phone
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn credit union systems and processes
  • Dependable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team
  • Willingness to provide support at other branch locations as needed

Additional Information

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:45 PM (7.5 hour work days) - No weekends!

Compensation & Benefits:  $18-20/hr
