Finance Unlocked is a fast growing and successful B2B start-up in the Edtech, Mediatech and Fintech space. An on-demand video-delivered learning platform built specifically for the finance industry. Our content is created in house by over 100 industry experts, covering all aspects of finance and accredited by leading global institutes (CISI and Chartered Banker). Customers include some of the world's largest asset managers, banks, law firms and business schools. Our video engagement rates average 91%. Finance Unlocked is also focused on making a positive social impact. In 2020 we delivered £3M worth of education to University students affected by campus closures and contributed to the national Fintech for Schools educational programme. This year the team will soon be launching a societal inclusion initiative with Santander, rolling out 3,000 Finance Unlocked subscriptions to Black and Black Mixed students.
 

Job Description

We are looking for an early to mid-level Content & Production Manager to join our team reporting directly to the Chief Content Officer. This role will be influential in helping shape the pre-production process at Finance Unlocked. We are looking for a bright hard working candidate to work with us to primarily focus on content creation, including scripts reviews, editing and writing, onboarding and liaising with our world leading expert (video) contributors, managing and coordinating filming schedules, assisting during filming days and other video production-related tasks. 

This role is the perfect opportunity if you have an entrepreneurial mindset and are interested in mastering content creation and management skills in a successful startup. The ideal candidate would likely have experience in traditional media, training or financial services organisations. 
 

Qualifications

About this role:

  • Manage filming day schedules prior to filming days, including sourcing new locations 
  • Onboarding world leading expert contributors to the platform, and managing them through the pre-production process, including the execution of legal agreements
  • Review & edit video scripts, and rewrite as required
  • Assist on filming days with the video direction
  • Creation of video summaries as required
  • Manage expert contributor process post-filming, until videos go live
  • Assist in video production -- including graphic instructions and working with our talented graphic designers and animators 
  • Support broader team relating to the content universe, particularly sales & marketing

About your experience:

  • Undergraduate qualification in finance or related field
  • Excellent written skills, including creative writing
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent process management and organisational skills
  • Excellent analytical skills using Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience working in a finance, media or training environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced & dynamic environment
  • Ability to think on their feet
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across departments

Nice to haves include

  • Postgraduate qualification, ideally Masters in Finance or other finance qualification
  • Some knowledge of web tools
