Job Description

We are looking for two related but different positions for a media agency that backs its work up with data analytics. One is a Database Engineer, and one is a Data Scientist (but it also has engineering aspects to it).  Specific details/requirements for each are listed below.

Qualifications

For the DB ENGINEER

·      BS, CS, Math or Engineering

·      Strength with DB Development using SQL and MySQL, including complex SQL for data manipulation

·      ETL and Data Warehouse experience – columnar data warehouse solutions (Redshift, Vertica, etc.) are a plus

·      Scripting in Python, PHP or JavaScript

·      Experience in a high volume data environment

·      Tableau or comparable

·      AWS environment preferred

 

 

For the DATA SCIENTIST

·      BS, CS, Math or Engineering; MS in Data Science preferred

·      Python expertise

·      SQL and Tableau experience

·      Ability to lead data science or analytics projects from concept to production; if you have done this in a client-facing (agency or marketing company) capacity, even better

·      Experience with advanced analytic techniques, including Multivariate Analysis, Multivariate Calculus, Linear Algebra, Time Series Analysis, Machine Learning, and Bayesian estimation using Machine Learning or Markov Chain Monte Carlo estimation 

·      Data manipulation – experience analyzing large volumes of data and developing a solid understanding of database principles and efficiencies required
