Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Technology Engineer to assist with the development of products for mobile and web applications such as Android and iOS.  Ways in which the successful candidate will contribute value on a daily basis include:

• Being the point of contact for the the engineering team
• Encouraging the team to consistently enhance the stability and quality of the technology platforms  that will be spear headed by you
• Confiently leading a team of engineers who work on a diverse set of full stack solutions
• Being a passionate advocate and supporter of DevOps culture
• Driving architecture discussions and defining approaches to building new features and fixing issues
• Contributing to the making of codes where you see fit

Key Qualifications and Job Expectations

• Familiarity with mobile device capabilities as it relates to GPS, Bluetooth, and location awareness in general. Experience with location based SDK products is preferred
• Strong experience with REST APIs
• Understanding of and experience working with CI/CD frameworks.
• Hands-on coding expected as part of day to day
• Hands-on experience with at least two of the following JavaScript technologies - Node.js, React.js, Angular.js or jQuery
• Solid working knowledge of mobile development for iOS and Android.
• Minimum of 4 years of people management experience in tech leadership role required
• Hands-on experience coding in at least two of the following server-side technologies - Java, PHP, Python, .NET (PHP and Java preferred)
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following RDBMS - MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL
• Good working knowledge of NoSQL datastores (Redis, ElasticSearch, Couchbase or MongoDB preferred)
• In-depth understanding of microservices architecture and reactive programming
• Hands-on experience working in an Agile environment. Scrum or Kanban preferred
• Experience with high volume of traffic and data
• Significant experience building consumer facing products
• Hands-on experience running applications hosted in public cloud providers (AWS and/or GCP highly preferred)

Preferred/Desirable Experience and Skills

• Working knowledge of Docker and container orchestration is a plus
• Hands-on experience coding in Obj-C and Android Java is desirable
• Experience with application performance optimization and tuning
• Working knowledge of JIRA is a plus
• Solid understanding of TDD or BDD is a plus
• Understanding of ad networks and the DMP/DSP ecosystem is a plus
• Hands-on experience with test automation is a plus.
• Working knowledge of MySQL is a plus
