Job Description

This position requires a Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI and Full Scope Polygraph.

· Serves as a technical and engineering lead for design reviews, plans reviews, commissioning of new infrastructure systems, and provide engineering assistance in troubleshooting of system failures.

· Performs general technical duties and is expected to maintain current technical knowledge and appropriate certifications.

· Tracks actions to completion assigned to FSMB via cables, LN’s and generated via PM’s.

· Travels as required to assist in assessments, tests and installations

· Assists in preparing equipment for shipment

· Assists in development of recapitalization plans for station infrastructure based on documented life-cycle programmatic data for all customer field infrastructure.

Travel:

OCONUS: Yes, up to 25% OCONUS travel, including hazard areas as required.**

CONUS: Yes, up to 10% CONUS travel, as required. **

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Clearance
  • ·Minimum 4 years’ experience with facilities design, maintenance, renovation, and construction project management at overseas/domestic locations incorporating unique Sponsor requirements.

  • Strong written communication skills.

  • Strong representational and communications skills that enable close relationships with senior technical officers in the organization and throughout the community.

  • Experience formulating and executing large facilities construction, maintenance and repair budgets.

  • Knowledge of federal building & safety codes.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand construction documents.

  • Experience in preparing contract documentation, to include: market surveys, technical SOW, and other contract documents (SSJ, CDCG, financial documents, etc.)

  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) as they apply to A&E and construction contracting.

  • Knowledge of Department of State overseas facilities procedures and standards.

  • Knowledge of overseas construction security requirements.

  • Desire/initiative to conduct research, problem-solve, learn new technology concepts to support changing environment and Customer challenges

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Desired Skills:

  • PMP Certification
  • Experience with process improvement technologies
  • Familiar with RF concepts, tools for measuring, testing
  • Familiarization with COMSEC policies/regulations
  • Familiarity with the FS MAXIMO Asset Management System
  • Advanced degree in engineering

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

Weapons Certification: Not required for hire but must be willing and capable of becoming certified.
