Job Description

Role: Python Lead (Telecom Experience SDN/NFV is Mandatory)

Type of Hire: Full Time

Location: Austin, TX

Interview Type : Video for Non Locals

 

Mandatory Skills: SDN/NFV, Scala/GoLang, any experience in cloud.

 

Description:

 

·         Minimum of 8 years’ experience.

·         Development experience in Python is mandatory

·         Exposure to languages such as Scala/GoLang is a plus

·         Develop new software micro-services, libraries, and features that form the platform supporting service orchestration

·         Knowledge of design patterns

·         Experience in developing and using RESTful APIs

·         Ability to containerize the service (Docker, openstack etc) and deploy on Cloud (Azure, AWS etc)

·         Experience in telecom domain with knowledge of OSS/BSS will be added advantage

·         Proficiency in TCP/IP networking, LANs and network infrastructure

·         Fundamentals of SDN, NFV (Network function virtualization), and Orchestration

·         Basic understanding of networking including L2/L3 Switching & Routing

·         Network management protocols including SNMP, YANG, TL1, NETCONF, CLI, etc.

·         Knowledge of JSON objects and data structures

·         Knowing what TOSCA stands for or the meaning of TOSCA and how it is used

·         Knowledge of Unit Testing and Postman API testing

·         Atlassian Jira and Confluence tools experience

·         Familiar with Cloud solutions and their API’s such as Openstack, AWS, VMWare or Azure

·         Familiarity with teamcity is a plus

·         Provide technical guidance to the team

·         Experience in executing the project in agile scrum methodology.

·         Follow and guide team on Scrum ceremonies

·         Comfort with “switching hats” or the ability to multi task while maintaining work focus

·         Ability to manage team by mentoring and helping individuals grow in their careers

·         Ability to manage a diverse team with ease

·         Articulate in all forms of communication

·         Able to influence members through communication
