Essential job functions would be:

1. Completing daily pay ins from county departments
2. Posting all pay ins and balancing with Fayette County Treasurer’s office
3. Approving purchase orders from all departments
4. Vendor weekly vouchers and help process weekly accounts payable bills  
5. Pay in of monthly state monies, complete reports and distribution  
6. Pull year end information for State Auditors
7. Help with year end 1099’s.

High School Diploma.

A degree in accounting or have worked in an accounting field for at least two years.                                                                                                                                                                    People person, getting along and dealing with all.

This job entails needing to talk to all departments on possible issues and questions, therefore good communication skills to be able to explain the issues are a must.

Must have good attention to detail to enter correct data into financial system and recognize errors within items before entering and getting with the correct department to fix.

Strong administrative skills for accurate records, good computer literacy, especially in accounting software and excel spreadsheets.                                                                                                    

 Must have good multi-tasking and organizational skills.
