Job Description

The Delivery Driver will move parts, goods, and other merchandise from one location to another. Drivers must interact with customers and recipients in a friendly and professional manner. Size and type of deliverables will vary. Use of your personal vehicle may be required or some delivery jobs.

The requirements and responsibilities will vary by assignment, but delivery staff should be prepared to:

·       Plan and complete an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.

·       Load the delivery vehicle with all parcels or items scheduled for delivery.

·       Deliver items to correct addresses, obtain signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.

·       Pick up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.

·       Maintain basic record of mileage and deliveries made.

·       Provide exemplary customer service to recipients

·       Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

·       Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record

·       Proficiency with navigation tools such as onboard GPS or smartphone apps

·       Ability to maintain basic logs and delivery records

·       Ability to work efficiently with limited supervision

·       Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills

·       Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

·       Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
