Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

The Security Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the development, enhancement, and execution of our Security capabilities. This position involves coordinating processes, procedures, and workflows for Security tooling, monitoring, and incident response. Collaboration with technical and non-technical teams is essential to ensure comprehensive security measures. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential security threats.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • · Reviewing cloud configuration against best practices
  • · Supporting the day-to-day interface with Fastmarkets outsourced MSSP SOC team
  • · Taking a hands on approach with our infosec tools
  • · Working in cross functional teams to support projects and change
  • · Assisting the implementation of the security strategy and roadmap planning
  • · Contributing to security documentation (e.g playbooks, use cases, policies and processes)
  • · Analysing compliance with security policies to identify control gaps.
  • · Being an active member in the information security incident response team
  • · Identifying and registering risks in partnership with business team
  • · Taking part in the on-call rota
  • · Configuring security tooling to adequately protect Fastmarkets

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.

  • · Demonstrable experience in handling InfoSec incidents and data breaches.
  • · Exhibit technical proficiency in cloud services, including security and best practices.
  • · Display broad knowledge of security tooling such as CNAPP, WAF,, SIEM, DLP, EDR, email security, and vulnerability management
  • · Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and technological advancements. An understanding of security frameworks
  • · Able to document and organise processes
  • · A self-starter who is confident in communicating with business and technology partners
  • · Ability to prioritise workloads and problem-solve
  • · Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) across different functions
  • · Possess an understanding of how a SOC functions

Important note: This role is required to take part in the on-call rota for incident response, this may include evenings, weekends and public holidays.
