Job Description

Fastmarkets Data team is a new and dynamic function supporting the business in developing and delivering our data strategy through data, insights, and business intelligence. Highly valued by the business we are working hard to transform data function and ways of working.

Reporting directly into ambitious Head of Data we are looking for the right candidate to work with business stakeholders and implement best practices through the selection, coordination and implementation of data initiatives aligned with the Fastmarkets strategy and roadmap.

We are seeking a Data Business Analyst / Delivery Manager to drive the delivery and implementation of cross-functional data solutions.

The right candidate will have a strong business acumen and will be passionate about Data and able to lead the delivery on the priorities set by the business in a timely fashion.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Liaise with the stakeholders to define the scope of the prioritised data projects
  • Get involved in and lead the delivery of cross functional data projects and initiatives across Fastmarkets
  • Actively collaborate with business stakeholders to enhance communication between Data and other departments (including, but not restricted to Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, Events)
  • Play a significant role in advocating the new ways of working by engaging stakeholder to accelerate the approved data transformation projects to shape Fastmarkets ambitious plans
  • Lead the delivery of cross functional data projects and initiatives across Fastmarkets
  • Conduct a discovery phase for the projects identifying the current state, creating a business case, identifying requirements and establishing the project’s workstreams
  • Deliver the projects through appropriate project management techniques
  • Lead stakeholder and project governance meetings, facilitating decision making and prioritisation
  • Ensure stakeholders are managed well and communicated with effectively through appropriate project status reporting
  • Work to measurable short and long-term project objectives and ensuring team members, stakeholders and vendors meet them
  • Establish and manage budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within budget
  • Clearly documenting project schedules and roadmaps
  • Create guidelines for evaluating a project’s strengths and identifying where further improvement is required
  • Actively manage risks and issues, as well as dependencies resolving problems with project as they arise

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.

  • Proactive and results-focused, with strong capabilities in data project management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, tailored to suit diverse audiences
  • Analytical mindset with a strong inclination for problem-solving within data environments
  • Experience in creating, mapping, and implementing business processes, particularly related to data
  • Sound commercial awareness with a robust understanding of data architecture and governance
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, maintaining attention to detail
  • Proficient in collaborative teamwork, with the ability to engage effectively with C-suite and senior stakeholders
  • Relevant certifications in Business Analysis and Project Management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) are advantageous
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean Six Sigma, with a focus on enhancing data processes
