We are looking for a Protégé Agent who is self-motivated, independent, and hungry to learn. They will work under an established mentor agent who will teach, guide, and coach the Protégé Agent in preparation of one day owning an agency. He or she will be trained in marketing, sales, insurance knowledge, customer service, and staffing to fully understand the day-to-day operations of owning and operating an insurance practice.

The Protégé Agent will develop new and existing leads, schedule and lead customer appointments, solve for customer needs, and provide appropriate products and services as needed. They will support and grow customer relationships and will ensure that all quotes, procedures, and practices are compliant with Farmers Insurance. The Protégé Agent will maintain a high level of customer service excellence, self-motivation, and collaboration to best serve our clients and gain industry knowledge. 

Job Description

Protégé Agent Job Duties:

●       Work for a mentor agency owner to establish skill sets for future excellence

●       Maintain and work through current leads, develop new leads, schedule appointments, analyze and assess customer needs, and market appropriate products

●       Develop and maintain client relationships, provide exceptional customer service, and promptly follow up with customers

●       Work independently and take initiative as needed, as well as work underneath a mentor/coach to learn best practices and procedures

●       Maintain organization, multi-task successfully without drops in quality, and meet goals and deadlines

Compensation Opportunities:

●   Compensation Structure: $35,000 base + 50% New Business Commissions + Bonus

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

●       An associate degree or bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required

●       Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are required

●       Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit

●       Trustworthy, dependable, reliable, and ethical

●       Quick learner with confidence and friendly nature

●       Ability to work independently and take constructive criticism from mentors
