Job Description

You’ll contribute to the coordinated efforts of our Central Facility by supporting the ongoing repair, maintenance, and reliability of all plant equipment and systems. This role ensures equipment operates safely and efficiently to support production needs while maintaining a quality service approach to all employees, customers, and suppliers. Here are some of the other ways you’ll help us stand out:
- Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, system performance, and operational efficiency.
- Assist in the planning, evaluation, and execution of preventative maintenance programs and job plans.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities, including replacement or repair of defective components and system performance testing.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and parts records using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Monitor equipment and instrumentation performance through inspection, calibration checks, and verification of pressures, temperatures, and operating conditions.
- Maintain documentation including system files, line diagrams, work orders, and records related to electrical and equipment installations.
- Adhere to and actively support company Health and Safety, Environmental, and Management systems while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Identify opportunities for ongoing process improvements within the production facility.
- Coordinate and provide direction to contractors during plant shutdowns and support emergency response activities as required.
- Contribute to overall operational success by taking on additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications

- A genuine passion for delivering engaging and exceptional customer service.
- Post-secondary education in a related field with 10 years of equipment and building repair and maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Millwright certification and experience working with a CMMS are considered assets.
- Strong knowledge of repair and maintenance practices, equipment, and materials, with the ability to communicate effectively with equipment operators and contractors and prepare reports or correspondence as required.
- Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to interpret mechanical and civil drawings and sketches.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- CPR/First Aid certification is considered an asset.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
- Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, wearing protective equipment, and performing physical tasks including heavy lifting, ladder climbing, and operating maintenance tools and equipment, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as required.
- Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
