As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice on, and guide team in, assessing and identifying potential risks that may threaten our reputation, safety, security, and/or financial success, as well as participate with key stakeholders across the enterprise and guide team in understanding business objectives.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Multifamily Engineering Risk Coordinator Advisor role will support oversight activities of the Multifamily business. This role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Support build out of oversight framework to mitigate property condition and environmental risks.
  • Leverage periodic sampling to perform independent review of post-acquisition engineering reports, PCA (Property Condition Assessments) and ESA (Environmental Site Assessments) to assess content and conclusions of those reports and advise Multifamily loss mitigation team of risks and concerns.
  • Conduct periodic site visits and escalate findings as necessary.
  • Present findings and/or conclusions of analysis to key stakeholders and senior management in thoughtful and persuasive manner.
  • Partner with team to review and provide feedback to management on resolutions.
  • Partner with the Multifamily to carry out business strategies that will drive success and ensure safety and soundness in the face of shifting market conditions and regulations.

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 6 years related experience
  • Engineer or architect experienced in commercial real estate/multifamily construction
  • Familiar with industry-standard Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) physical condition rating scale
  • Familiar with relevant commercial construction and environmental guidelines
  • Holds relevant commercial construction certifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled in Excel (intermediate or advanced)

Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
