This full-time associate role has a set annual gross base salary of $72,000. 

Job Description

The Business Account Management Solutions, ‘BAMS’ team is a cross-functional, client aligned organization comprised of Account Teams (including Affordable Lending who focus on our Mission work), Servicing Strategy, Market Engagement, Client and Consumer Resource Centers and Business Operations and Technology Support functions. We operate with a mission-minded focus and leverage our relationships with Single-Family lenders, servicers, vendors and other housing industry partners to achieve the company’s strategic objectives such as affordable housing, racial equity, and digital transformation, while complying with our regulatory requirements.  

As a Customer and Partner Management Associate on the BAMS team, you will work with cutting-edge technology on diverse teams that foster innovation and collaboration. As part of this team, you will participate in a rotational program allowing you to gain experience working with a diverse cohort of peers.  We offer up to 8 different functional areas including: Client Management, Mission Field work, Business Administration and Project Management, Process Improvement, Business Analysis, Data Analytics, Technology Integrations, Consumer Support and Market Engagement.  Our early career program provides professional development with best-in-class teams and industry experts. Our program for campus hires builds foundational industry knowledge, understanding of Fannie Mae culture and core skill development while encouraging cross department connections and collaboration. Building your confidence and offering paths to transition into a permanent role.

The Customer and Partner Management Associate Program offers you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:       

  • Drive Client Success: Partner in assessing client needs and ensuring operational readiness in support of our goals and initiatives. Your work will be crucial in driving our clients’ success.  
  • Collaborate with Industry Leaders: Interact, collaborate, and problem-solve directly with external clients and key internal business partners, including Capital Markets, legal teams, technology teams, and business support teams. Your contributions will foster strong, effective partnerships.  
  • Engage in Exciting Events: Participate in internal and external industry events to support client education, risk mitigation, and new product rollouts. You’ll be at the forefront of industry developments and innovations.  
  • Tackle Complex Projects: Contribute to complex projects through research, deliverable management, and effective planning and coordination. Your innovative solutions will drive business performance and efficiency.  
  • Transform Business Insights: Gather data to prepare thorough business analyses and share key business insights with management and stakeholders. Your analytical skills will help shape our strategic direction and improve internal processes.  
  • Standardize Excellence: Participate in and contribute to the management of standard work processes. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring consistency and quality across our operations.  
  • Monitor Performance Metrics: Assist in coordinating the development, monitoring and execution of key performance and risk indicators. Your attention to detail will help us maintain high standards and mitigate risks.

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM  

Minimum Qualifications:     

  • Be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship    
  • Academic achievement (GPA of 3.0 or above)    
  • Bachelor’s degree obtained between December 2024 and May 2025 (All Campus Associates will have a start date in July 2025)     

Preferred Qualifications:    

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Operations or Management preferred  
  • Strong analytical background    
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to contribute to a team atmosphere     
  • Self-starter, strong business acumen, and results-focused    
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written    
  • Fluency and aptitude with technology applications
