Job Description
The Clinician I serves in a professional counseling capacity to deliver behavioral health services on behalf of the agency for the clients that are enrolled, while integrating evidence-based and best practices and strategies associated with nueroscience, trauma informed care, dual generation practices and resiliency, while ensuring that services provided are in alignment with the Social Determinants of Health through a trauma informed care lens as defined by the agency. The Clinician I carries a full clinical caseload with the appropriate case mix of shorter and longer term cases, accompanied by regular supervision. Counseling program services are provided in the client’s home, office and/or in various community-based locations.
Qualifications
1.Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social work or other related areas.
2. Certificate or license, as applicable, by the appropriate state agency preferred. The Clinician I must hold an LPC-Intern, LMFT-A, LMSW, LCDC or other equivalent, provided that the required regular clinical supervision occurs, with an board approved supervisor(with the exception of LMSW’s), to conduct face-to-face supervisory conferences and case record reviews.
3. A minimum two years of experience that can include internship experience in a similar setting and doing direct service.
4. Prefer fluency in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak) desirable.
5. Experience working with young children and/or families and fluency in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak) desirable. Additional compensation may be considered for English/Spanish proficiency.
6. Travel Required: Yes
7. Experience working with children (age: 6 and under) desirable.
8. Experience working with military families desireable.
