Job Description
The Early Childhood Clinician I (hereafter referred EC Clinician I) provides support and services to organizational early childhood programs including Head Start. The EC Clinician I works closely with educational staff and staff who work closely with families providing an array of services along the continuum of child mental health primary prevention, early intervention and treatment, and integrates a whole child and family approach with the understanding that families, classrooms and other early childhood settings have a significant impact on the well-being and social/emotional development of a young child. Services may be provided in classroom, office, home, or other community settings.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, hours may vary
Pay Rate: $40,000 Annually
Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Behavioral Health, Social Work, or other related behavioral science field.
- Full licensure as an LPC, LCSW and/or an LMFT, LMSW or other professional licensure currently issued by the appropriate state agency.
- At least two (2) years post-Master’s degree experience in clinical behavioral science or in a related clinical social work field.
- Understands cultural differences and is sensitive to the implications of culture for service delivery.
Preferred:
- Fluency in English and Spanish (read, write, speak) desirable.
- Experience using computer-based client data systems.
- Early childhood (education, childcare, mental health) experience preferred.
