Job Description

The Early Childhood Clinician II (hereafter referred EC Clinician II) provides support and
services to organizational early childhood programs including Head Start. The EC Clinician II
works closely with educational staff and staff who work closely with families providing an
array of services along the continuum of child mental health primary prevention, early
intervention and treatment, and integrates a whole child and family approach with the
understanding that families, classrooms and other early childhood settings have a significant
impact on the well being and social/emotional development of a young child. Services may
be provided in classroom, office, home, or other community settings.





Full Time
Monday – Friday, occasional Saturday hours may vary
40,000 – 56,000 Annually





Qualifications

Required
 Master’s degree in Psychology, Behavioral Health, Social Work, or other related
behavioral science field.
 Advanced licensure as an LPC, LCSW and/or an LMFT currently issued by the appropriate
state agency.
 At least two (2) years post-Master’s degree experience in clinical behavioral science or in
a related clinical social work field. Experience in an early childhood education or early
childhood mental health in lieu of the post-master degree experience.
 At least two (2) years post-Master’s degree experience with the agency to provide
supervision to practicum students, interns, and act responsibly as the agency’s
designated representative for field instruction.
 Understands cultural differences and is sensitive to the implications of culture for service
delivery. practitioner.
 State of Texas vehicle operator's license and proof of liability insurance.


Preferred
 Fluent in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak) desirable.
