The Senior DBA will be responsible for managing a large scale clean-up of legacy data within 2 data sets and merging into one cloud SQL data warehouse.

·         The Senior DBA will be offering building automating housekeeping rules using poweshell.

·         The Senior DBA will support upgrades from installation, through testing and then into production.

·         The Senior DBA will respond to ticket requests from the business on an Adhoc basis.
The Senior DBA will be engaging with users from an analytical perspective, using PowerBI as the visualisation tool.

·         Extensive knowledge of SQL and its implementation in complex enterprise sized environments

·         In depth knowledge of the latest technologies likely to be employed in designing and delivering Enterprise Wide quality solutions in the chosen RDBMS platform (IaaS, PaaS, DBaaS) in azure.

·         Experience of implementing upgrading, migrating, maintaining and decommissioning SQL implementations in enterprise environments.

·         You will have production DBA experience: monitoring, backup and recovery, high availability, troubleshooting, capacity planning, upgrades (SQL 
versions/patches/CUs/hotfixes), security.

·          TSQL scripting, SSIS - SQL Server Integration Services, Performance Tuning: Performance monitor, SQL Profiler, DMVs, Resource Governor, Availability Groups, Clustering, Log Shipping, Replication, Database Mirroring, Reporting Services, Encryption, Knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 platforms.

·          ITIL: experience working with incidents, service requests, changes, problems

• Minimum 6 years of experience as SQL DBA
• Certification is advantage
