Role Description

Our Commercial & Program Management team is hiring a Junior Program Operations Manager  (Program Coordinator) to support program delivery and assist in the strategic development of our wider Commercial and Program Management department. Serving in a critical dual capacity across our global digital building programs, this role drives program delivery governance, oversees daily task coordination, and assists the Digital Operations & Performance Lead in digesting and analyzing commercial, operational, and financial data to optimise overall performance.

The primary initial focus of this position will be assisting the program team with the deployment and roll-out of Rocketlane, our newly implemented Professional Services Automation (PSA) platform, bringing it smoothly into a Business-As-Usual (BAU) operational state. In parallel, you will assist the Digital Operations & Performance Lead in embedding FPC’s 3PM (Portfolio, Program, and Project Management) governance framework across active delivery workflows. As these platforms and frameworks mature, your impact will expand to digesting operational datasets, identifying delivery trends, and providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and cross-functional delivery.

Mentorship & Structured Career Progression

As a core team member supporting Delivery Operations and working directly alongside the Digital Operations & Performance Lead, you will collect, structure, digest, and analyze project, financial, and resource utilisation data. By maintaining baseline data integrity across our project management tooling ecosystem (including Google Sheets and PSA operational data), you will assist with digesting complex inputs to manage and maintain program & project governance enabling actionable business insights that directly inform operational decision-making, financial forecasting, and program performance tracking.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities for the Junior Project Manager & Data Analyst (Program Coordinator)  include, but are not limited to, the following key areas:

Program Coordination & Priority Delivery (Primary Focus)

  • Provide hands-on coordination support to manage program schedules, track multi-project deliverables, monitor task dependencies, and help bring key active programs over the finish line

  • Maintain accurate program management logs, including action trackers, risk/issue registers, decision logs, and program schedule baselines.

  • Coordinate day-to-day delivery tasks with technical specialists, consultants, external contractors, and global program delivery teams

  • Support the preparation, formatting, and distribution of program documentation, commissioning checklists, client status updates, and governance meeting packets

  • Cross-Project Dependency & Change Tracking: Proactively monitor task interdependencies across multiple sub-projects, assisting senior leads with change control logs and schedule adjustments to keep global delivery workflows aligned

  • Active Stakeholder & Action Follow-Up: Serve as the central coordination link for program teams , relentlessly following up on open actions, milestone blockers, and deliverable handoffs across internal specialists and external stakeholders to maintain program velocity..

 

Program Operations & Process Enablement

  • Departmental Development Support: Assist the Digital Operations & Performance Lead in standardising commercial and program management workflows, templates, and best practices across the wider department.

  • Tooling Adoption & Support (PSA): Act as a super-user and first-line support contact during the roll-out of Rocketlane, ensuring team members adhere to platform governance and baseline data input standards.

  • Program Baseline Maintenance: Audit ongoing project setups, stage-gate approvals, and resource allocations within internal tools to ensure operational data remains accurate and aligned with FPC 3PM guidelines.

Operational Data Management & Analysis

 

  • Assist with  the collection, organisation, and analysis of operational, commercial, and program delivery data across program delivery, financial performance, and resourcing.

  • Assist, Develop and maintain structured data sets and repositories to support accurate, timely operational governance and program performance reporting

  • Help develop detailed analysis to identify operational trends, program risks, resourcing bottlenecks, and commercial performance gaps across complex portfolios..

Commercial Awareness & Project Support

  • Support active initiatives with technical, operational, financial and commercial insights by aiding in project setup, evaluation, and program management within the PSA platform from pre-sales through project completion, following established 3PM (Portfolio, Program, and Project Management) guidelines

  • Assist in providing  baseline reporting and analysis on commercial performance, program fee tracking, revenue forecasting, invoicing support, and variance-to-budget tracking

  • Contribute technical, operational, and commercial data to active program proposals, assisting in bid responses, background research, and program cost estimates

Dashboard & Business Intelligence Development

  • Support the Digital Operations & Performance Lead in analyzing, digesting, and validating operational data extracted from the PSA platform and Google Sheets to feed executive decision-making and client reporting.

  • Maintain rigorous accuracy, consistency, numerical hygiene, and data governance across operational datasets, ensuring underlying metrics accurately reflect program health.

 

 

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Work Experience: Minimum 1 year of practical work experience in program/project administration, program coordination, data/business analysis, or operational support

  • Education & Cohort: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 2:1 honours rating), graduated in 2025 or earlier (note: 2026 graduates are excluded from this intake).

  • Location & Right to Work: Must be fully UK-based with valid right-to-work status in the UK.

  • Spreadsheet & Systems Proficiency: Proficiency in Google workspace,  Google Sheets,  Docs,  Slides, etc (advanced formulas, dynamic data modeling, pivot tables, and lookups), with a strong commitment to mastering the broader Google Workspace ecosystem and transitioning any existing Microsoft Excel/Office expertise to align with FPC's Google-first environment.

  • Learning Agility: Demonstrates high learning agility, actively seeks direct mentoring, and takes ownership of self-development to build confidence in client-facing interactions.

 

Desirable (“Nice to Have”):

  • Industry Background: Educational or work exposure to Smart Buildings, Construction, Engineering, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Facilities Management, or MEP systems

  • Framework Awareness & Adoption: Basic  understanding of core project and program management methodologies (such as APM, PMI, PRINCE2, or MSP), practical awareness of Agile and Waterfall frameworks, and familiarity with the complete project lifecycle from initiation to closeout.

Soft Skills:

  • Methodical, analytical, and highly structured with exceptional attention to detail

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Eager to learn, proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable juggling multiple program priorities under deadline pressure

  • Collaborative team player with a service-oriented mindset and strong numerical literacy

 

Success Measures

 

  • Program Governance & Commercial Management: Accurately and promptly track program milestones, KPIs, risks, actions, commercial reports, and schedules.

  • Operational Data & Insights: Efficiently gather, analyze, and report operational data via Google Sheets and Rocketlane to help track performance and utilization.

  • Program Operations & 3PM Adoption: Assist with Rocketlane’s rollout and BAU adoption, driving team adherence to 3PM standards and data quality.

  • Consultative Engagement & Communication: Professionally represent FPC, translating operational and technical data into concise updates and executive summaries.

  • Commercial & Proposal Support: Provide accurate technical, operational, and financial data for proposals, bids, research, and cost estimates.

  • Professional Development & Culture: Engage in mentoring, own career growth within 3PM pathways, and share tool and workflow insights to drive continuous improvement.
