Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Events manager to head our Events team. In this role you will take an active lead in delivering workshop events and coordinating our conference volunteers to attend local and national allergy, paediatric and healthcare conferences throughout the UK. Supporting volunteers through their events will help drive quality engagement with the public and medical professionals. This engagement is key to raising much needed awareness and maintaining the reputation of the charity
Qualifications
To perform well in this role, you’ll need:
- Approximately 4 hours per week spare time
- Strong event management skills
- Team leadership
- Experience of delivering projects within set time frames
- Experience marketing campaigns across a range of channels including direct mail, video, email, online and social media
- The ability to work independently
- The ability to communicate effectively with businesses events companies and individual volunteers.
Additional Information
This position is voluntary and thus you will not receive any pay. The
charity will however cover all expenses incurred such as travel, cost
of phone calls, postage, any overnight accommodation and the cost of
childcare whilst attending events. We will also add your name to our
website. You will receive your own email address. The role is a great
way to keep up your skills whilst on a career break or add to your
existing CV and we will happily provide any references needed to future
employers. It is also a great way to give back to a community which is
so often misunderstood and overlooked. Your work for FPIES UK will help
the lives of many babies and young children both now and in the future.
