Job Description

TITLE:                          DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER

DEPARTMENT:            MARKETING

REPORTING TO:          VP, MARKETING

LOCATION:                  NEW YORK, NY
 

For safety, our office is currently working a hybrid model of in-office (essential staff) and remote. When safe, please plan to work from the NYC office part time.

Summary
The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and optimizing marketing campaigns that promote both FOODMatch (to the trade) and Divina (to the consumer). You will play a major role in growing revenue, enhancing brand awareness and driving traffic to acquire sales leads and brand ambassadors.

Essential Functions

Ecommerce Management

  • Strategic and executional management of third-party e-commerce platforms like Instacart and Amazon as well as laying the groundwork for an owned D2C
  • Utilize data analytics to understand user behaviors, map out customer journeys, and leverage insights to unlock new growth and retention opportunities
  • Transform analytical data into digestible insights and actionable strategy for executive team
  • Work with external agencies on website design, programming, and coding needs related to software integration, layout updates, and fixing bugs (both D2C and B2B sites)

Digital Marketing

  • Oversee digital advertising strategy, setting ad standards and managing content objectives for paid social, and email flows that encourage engagement and growth
  • Work closely with Marketing leadership to identify and pursue new growth opportunities across all channels and touchpoints, including landing pages, paid social, paid search, social media, influencer marketing, and email marketing
  • Oversee content execution, including organizing the content calendar and project timelines, creating and measuring engagement goals, and execution guidelines for social
  • Keep up to date with digital marketing trends and new channels to direct content that feels most relevant and connected to our fans
  • Have a deep understanding on SEO & SEM best practices/strategy for B2B and B2C brands and manage relationship with a freelance specialist to track results of efforts, develop KPI’s and report on performance.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of our brand ambassador program; identifying and onboarding new members, community engagement, surveys, mailings, focus groups, etc.
  • Work closely with Creative Services (internal) and help identify any external talent to assist on creating digital assets (social content, email, ads, etc.) by providing direction to optimize customer experience.
  • Maintain trade and consumer email lists; schedule and deploy email marketing campaigns

Paid Media & Lead Generation

  • Lead display, search, shopping and paid social advertising activities and optimize overall efficiency and revenue of campaigns and ensure media budgets are meeting business
  • Aggregate reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis while generating insights, calculating basic KPIs and understanding how metrics effect each other
  • Provide post-campaign analysis — drawing on successes and failures, to identify tactics that are working to achieve goals
  • Develop processes for B2B and D2C customer acquisition through various digital platforms and work with our Sales team to convert leads to customers

Qualifications

Background Requirements

  • 3-5 years in a similar role with a proven track record of results

Skill & Ability Requirements

  • A strong communicator who can work collaboratively and empathetically with a team
  • You have a passion for building a lasting brand
  • You have a desire to connect with and understand our customers/consumers
  • You are engaged with the specialty food industry and have a passion for our products
  • Successful experience managing ecommerce, preferably in a startup environment (entrepreneurial spirit and ability to build from the ground up)
  • Experience managing paid search campaigns with an understanding of how to set and hit KPI’s
  • Experience with Shopify Plus
  • Experience/interest in managing external partners (agency, freelance, etc.)
  • Experience with paid and owned social media and email marketing management
  • Robust knowledge of web analytics (Google), SEO/SEM best practices, email marketing (list management and segmentation) and 3P platforms such as Amazon (seller central) and Instacart.

 

Travel Requirements

  • This role requires minimal to no travel.
