Job Description

We are looking for a highly effective Dynamics GP Support Consultant to join our team full-time. This person will respond to and resolve support requests from customers, perform contracted maintenance and system management tasks, and identify and route consulting and development requests to the appropriate departments. This consultant must have very strong written and oral communication skills, be a highly organized self-starter, and capable of multitasking.

 

Responsibilities

• Respond to support requests within the contracted response time
• Track and manage open cases to resolution
• Install and configure GP and related products for end users
• Troubleshoot issues in GP, SmartLists, FRx/Management Reporter, Integration Manager, Business Portal, and ISV products
• Manage support tickets for ISV products
• Gather client requirements and document functional specifications
• Perform system testing and end user client training
• Troubleshoot and support Microsoft enterprise technologies
• Complete project tasks as assigned
• Provide client status updates to project manager and clients on a regular basis
• Receptive to mentoring

Qualifications

• 2-4 years working with Microsoft Dynamics GP in a consulting capacity, with at least 1-year experience with GP 2015 or later.
• Prior service desk or customer support-related experience preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of core financials, project accounting, POP, SOP, HR/Payroll and manufacturing
• Demonstrated understanding of Business Portal and requisition management
• Demonstrated understanding of ISVs including BI360, MEM, eOne SmartConnect and ReQlogic preferred
• Ability to define, create and complete project deliverables with minimal guidance
• Ability to independently manage individual time and tasks
• Ability to prioritize and escalate issues quickly and efficiently
• Ability to quickly adapt to new requirements and changing situations
• Exhibits professionalism at all times
• Dynamics GP certification and experience required
• Ability to work in SQL Management Studio to resolve issues and/or create SQL objects to create reports
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, MIS, Accounting or equivalent preferred
• MSFT certifications in GP 10, 2010, 2013, 2015, 2016, Dynamics 365, or SQL preferred

Travel
Support coverage is primarily by telephone and email and/or using remote support tools. Infrequent travel may be required to a customer’s site. The first week of employment will be in person at the Carlsbad headquarters (for remote employees).
