Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Digital Communication and Event Specialist is to organize and execute trade shows and events and to implement the FEIN marketing strategy in the digital market in order to promote and expand the FEIN brand.    

REPORTS TO:  Marketing Manager

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 70% physical/manual labor tasks, including picking, packing, boxing and using heavy machinery (forklift and power tools etc.)
  • Plan, supply and attend trade shows and events: includes booth design and show requirements, tool and accessory inventory, literature, construction, deconstruction, and maintenance of exhibits/displays
  • Inventory, maintenance, order entry, order processing, shipping, receiving, and operations of marketing warehouse
  • Performs tool demonstrations for customers, video recordings, and brochure and advertisement photographs
  • Assist in the planning and designing of digital marketing communications (website upload sheets)
  • Process and prepare image and information requests
  • Administer third party data provider website, Edgenet
  • Coordinate and distribute information for promotions, website upload sheets and assist with market launches
  • Manage iPad projects consisting of but not limited to file construction, maintenance, and communications
  • Maintain FEIN video library and assist with website management
  • Manage supplies and logistics for Point of Service (POS) inquiries and issues
  • Research, request quotes, and coordinate communications and goods with vendors to accomplish marketing initiatives and projects
  • Manage tool review process
  • Monitor company email, process end-user literature requests, perform occasional facility responsibilities
  • Coordinate and communicate weekly communication regarding Sales and Marketing activities
  • Mange promotional item inventory
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • Candidates with prior experience are given preference
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, and to accurately perform simple calculations involving decimals and fractions

TECHNICAL AND BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to prioritize multiple activities on a daily basis 
  • Knowledge of tool operation, tool markets and industries preferred  
  • Detail-orientation and accuracy behavioral traits 
  • Ability to travel occasionally to shows (up to 10%)
  • Customer service skills, including the ability to handle difficult internal or external customers
  • Ability to prioritize and work tasks through to on-time completion
  • Possess a sense of urgency
  • Needs an attention to detailed work
  • Ability and motivation to solve problems with other staff members without the need for constant direction from management

Additional Information

PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to perform 70% physical work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force and exert moderate force frequently or constantly to move objects, including the body. May be asked to exert up to 200 pounds of force periodically, as needed
  • Physical efforts required include the use of hands and fingers, repetitive small motor activity, grasping, verbally communicating detailed and important information to others quickly and accurately, stooping, reaching, standing, lifting objects up to 200 pounds, frequently
  • Field of vision must be adequate to observe up and down or right to left while eyes are fixed on a given point 
  • Ability to read and process written and other materials visually
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret of instructions furnished in written, oral
