Summary

Expresco is founded on the concept of filling a niche in the ready-made kebab foodservice industry. Our core business is to supply value-added meat for retail sales under the Expresco brand as well as private label to our customers. Due to the growth of the company, we are looking for a qualified person as QC Technician to join our quality assurance department.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pre-operational activities (approve the start-up of machines according to sanitary conditions);
• Collect samples and swabs for micro testing;
• Ensure that the calibration of metal detectors and scales is done and adequate;
• Train operators in quality procedures;
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) by being present in production areas;
• Manage products held and released;
• Collect samples (organoleptics, shelf life) and prepare evaluation forms;
• Carry out organoleptic evaluation of products;
• Carry out inspections required as part of the HACCP program;
• Ensure that the manufacturing process is respected;
• Ensure compliance with specifications and traceability of product quality;
• Communicate non-conformities and complaints;
• Review and classify documentation;
• Special projects;
• Comply with regulatory requirements and operational procedures established by the company to ensure a high standard of food safety and quality;
• Be responsible for ensuring product quality and safety, and meeting SQF program requirements during assigned tasks.
• Ensure the replacement of key personnel at all times.

Skills and competencies

• University degree in food science, food engineering or related fields;
• 1+ years of experience in a similar role in the food industry;
• Knowledge of HACCP and BPM standards;
• Excellent written communication, oral communication and presentation in French and English;
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Must own a car
