Our 10-week summer internship program is designed to give you an immersive experience, where you’ll gain hands-on real world experience and will be welcomed by all of our team here at Expert Institute. During this internship candidates will receive role specific training, interact with members of our Executive team, and work on meaningful projects in the legal tech industry. Each intern will meet with department heads and company leaders to discuss business development skills ranging from professional business writing to best search strategies, and will receive performance feedback from their manager throughout the summer!

About the Role
We’re looking for a highly motivated and ambitious student to join our Medical team as a Medical Research Intern this summer. This intern will have the opportunity to join a fast paced startup environment, where they’ll work directly with our inhouse physicians and medical consultants discussing medical reviews and opinions on specific cases. They will also complete an independent medical research project on any topic of their choice in the medical industry!

Our Medical Research Intern will have the opportunity to: 

• Review legal cases to identify important medical records that should be requested for the physician's review 

• Review and learn about imaging such as Xrays, CTs, MRIs, and ultrasounds along with cardiology tests and fetal heart rate tracings

• Work directly with our staff of inhouse physicians and participate in topic based learnings on specific specialities 

• Complete an independent project in the medical industry on a topic of their choice 

• Assist the Medical team with scheduling and organizing records

• Work on high impact administrative ad-hoc projects with the operations team as needed

• Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in a Health or Science related field preferred

• Prior experience or interest in the medical industry a plus

• Self starter with strong communication and time management skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

• Professional presence with a high level of maturity

• Ability to work with a high caliber team in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
