Job Description

Role Summary:

Software Engineer I develops, tests, deploys, and supports software solutions while collaborating with product, business, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality applications. The role requires strong programming, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with an interest in Agile, automation, testing, and DevOps practices to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. This role will be reporting to the Software Engineering Manager.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

You will:

  • Participate in backlog refinement sessions, design discussions, and technical planning activities with the team
  • Help understand our needs and translating functional requirements into clear, scalable, and maintainable technical designs
  • Develop high‑quality and reliable code that meets agreed timelines and engineering standards
  • Design and implement automated tests across multiple levels, ensuring product quality and stability
  • Troubleshoot issues, analyze causes, and enhance code quality through best practices
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes, creating, repeatable, and efficient deployment practices
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience or familiarity with Java development, enterprise applications, APIs, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Understanding of software design, architecture, design patterns, and code quality practices.
  • Exposure to Agile development, CI/CD, DevOps, and automated testing concepts.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, container technologies, and Linux environments.
  • This is a hybrid position, requiring attendance in the office 2-3 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days.
