Job Description
Join our Site Reliability Engineering team and gain hands-on experience managing the infrastructure behind more than 150 AWS EKS clusters.
As an SRE Intern, you will learn how cloud platforms operate at scale, help with automation projects, and support reliability practices under the guidance of senior engineers.
We design this internship for students with knowledge in cloud or container technologies who want to develop real-world SRE skills.
What you will Learn and do:
- Support engineers in managing and maintaining AWS EKS clusters and Kubernetes components.
- Learn how to implement patching automation and apply security best practices for containerized workloads.
- Help maintain and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or Harness).
- Participate in RPA automation plans to help reduce manual operational tasks.
- Help review and handle ServiceNow requests and incident tickets with guidance from senior team members.
- Help document operational procedures and internal knowledge resources.
- Learn how to apply hardening practices for Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Pursue a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development or related.
- Understanding of AWS services and Kubernetes (Amazon EKS).
- Basic familiarity with Terraform or any infrastructure-as-code concepts.
- Knowledge of CI/CD fundamentals and cloud-native concepts.
Beneficial knowledge:
- Basic programming knowledge in Python, Groovy, or Go.
- Academic or hands-on exposure to monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace).
- Familiarity with RPA automation concepts.
- Certifications: AWS or Kubernetes certifications are beneficial.
Additional details:
- Be available 36 hours of the week for the internship.
- You must be enrolled in the university for the next 9 months of the internship.
- Be available to start in May 2026.
- You will receive a subsidy of $1,000 a month for the 9-month internship
Additional Information
This is a home-based internship role in Costa Rica. No relocation available.
