Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Marketplace team and shape the future of how consumers compare and choose financial products.
You'll work end‑to‑end across discovery, planning, prototyping and delivery, partnering with product managers, researchers, engineers, analysts and commercial partners.
Reporting into the Product Design Lead, you'll be part of a diverse and collaborative design team, contributing to our design culture and ensuring strong alignment across Marketplace and the wider organisation. We operate in a regulated environment where clarity, trust and fairness guide how we design for great customer outcomes.
You'll bring experience designing complex e‑commerce or comparison journeys where information design is critical, with a strong ability to simplify complexity and support customers in their decision making.
Daily responsibilities:
- Collaboratively uncover customer needs, test assumptions, and translate insight into clear problems and design direction.
- Shape ambiguous problem spaces by defining priorities, success measures, and the right scope for discovery, experimentation, or delivery.
- Create prototypes at appropriate levels of fidelity to explore ideas, align stakeholders, and support decision-making.
- Design experiments to test desirability, feasibility, and viability, measuring outcomes to inform future iterations
- Apply a strong product and business lens to design decisions, balancing customer value, regulatory constraints, and commercial performance.
- Collaborate with our teams and external partners to co-create solutions, validate opportunities, and support launch and optimisation.
- Experiement with AI as part of your workflow, and final designs, and bring insights to the wider team.
- Design and facilitate workshops to align stakeholders, create ideas, and drive clarity on decisions and next steps.
Qualifications
- Product design experience working in-house within cross functional, Agile product teams on software products that address complex user needs
- Designing products in a direct to consumer environment is essential
- A portfolio showcasing your strategy and process - not just the final solution. Some of the things we look for in case-studies include: An understanding of the problem space, a design approach with strong hypotheses and clear measures of success on top of the final execution
- Designing and building top performing native apps (iOS or Android) and responsive web designs.
- Consuming from and contributing to existing design systems, ideally in Figma.
- Fintech experience is desirable but not compulsory
Additional Information
Benefits package includes:
- Hybrid and flexible working - 40% working in the office
- Great compensation package and discretionary bonus plan
- Core benefits include pension, bupa healthcare, sharesave scheme and more
- 25 days annual leave with 8 bank holidays and 3 volunteering days. You can purchase additional annual leave.
