Job Description

We are looking for a Platform Automation Engineer (DevOps) to join our dynamic and growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an accomplished team, contributing to the latest technology programs and driving automation across our platforms.

As part of our technical transformation, you will help modernize our distributed environment, provide solutions, and find efficiencies through automation. You will collaborate with all partners to ensure first-class execution and input into future strategy.

You will be reporting to the Automation manager.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of platform automation, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and workflow automation.

  • Maintain platform automation, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for Windows/Linux, CI/CD pipelines, and supporting automation.

  • Contribute to the end‑to‑end automation of main infrastructure processes across the UK&I region, ensuring platform stability, consistency, and enhancements

  • Collaborate with other teams to develop ServiceNow forms and workflows that ensure Ansible‑driven self‑service and automation

  • Collaborate with teams to gather infrastructure requirements and translate them into automated solutions.

  • Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge sharing.

  • Improve quality and efficiency of delivery.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • 6+ years of experience with automation toolsets such as Terraform, Ansible, Postman, Bruno, and Git

  • Scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, YAML, Git, and Python

  • Experience with ServiceNow development and integration

  • Hands-on experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Harness) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS)

  • Knowledge of Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, LeSS) and ITIL processes

  • Excellent troubleshooting

  • Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in automation architecture, platform engineering, or leading automation plans at scale.

  • Must hold a ServiceNow Developer or ServiceNow Administrator certification

  • Exposure to enterprise DevOps practices, including designing automation frameworks for large, distributed environments.

  • Experience with ITIL processes and practical experience with ServiceNow workflows, ticketing, and integration.

  • Background in process mapping, workflow optimisation, and identifying opportunities to refine and automate operational tasks.

  • Familiarity with AI‑assisted automation frameworks (e.g., MCP or similar) and interest in emerging technologies that enhance platform automation.

  • Experience mentoring or guiding engineers in automation best practices and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Take technical decisions, promote architectural discussions, and collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
