Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join the Experian Marketing Services architecture team. This critical role is responsible for shaping the long-term technology strategy and ensuring a scalable, secure, and interoperable enterprise architecture aligned with Experian’s strategic goals. You will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to design, maintain, and evolve a resilient and future-proof technology ecosystem that enables innovation, efficiency, and seamless integration across the organization.

As a key member of our architecture team, you will be more than just a technical expert; you will be a leader, a mentor, and a strategist. You will contribute to our most critical projects, using your unique blend of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills to shape our cloud ecosystem. Your day-to-day will involve:
Guiding the Vision: Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to design and build the next generation of our cloud applications and infrastructure.
Building Bridges: Acting as a critical link between teams, using your influence and negotiation skills to ensure technical projects align with strategic goals.
Driving Excellence: Mentoring engineers and promoting a culture of high-quality, secure, and automated development practices.
Solving Complex Challenges: Architecting robust solutions for processing high-volume data workloads and ensuring our systems are secure and scalable.

Skills and Experience
Professional Experience
7+ years of hands on software engineering experience
Proven ability to develop and evolve enterprise-wide architecture strategies aligned with long-term business objectives.
2+ years of hands-on experience with major cloud providers such as AWS and/or GCP.
Ideally 2+ years of experience in an architecture role
Technical Expertise
Hands-on experience designing and executing cloud migration strategies including workload assessment, migration planning, and adoption roadmaps.
Proven experience in designing and developing secure cloud applications and infrastructure, applying best practices in cloud architecture, security, and DevOps automation. Experience with large-scale data processing systems is strongly preferred.
Proven experience modernizing legacy applications and platforms, including re-architecting on-prem systems to run natively in the cloud.
Deep understanding of modernization strategies such as rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, and the evaluation of build vs. buy decisions.
Significant experience with large scale data processing using major cloud providers (ideally AWS and/or GCP)
Experience designing across all architecture domains: application, data, infrastructure, security, and integration.
Familiarity with non-functional requirements including scalability, performance, reliability, and security.
Bonus: Experience with the AdTech ecosystem.
Communication and Leadership
Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional environments, capable of driving architectural vision and influencing without direct authority.
Ability to mentor and guide engineers and architects, fostering technical excellence and architectural consistency.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical ideas into clear, business-relevant language for executive stakeholders.
Proven track record of engaging with senior leadership, business owners, and technical teams to align on goals, trade-offs, and decision-making.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, able to navigate organizational dynamics and align diverse teams toward common goals.
Skilled negotiator with the ability to mediate architectural discussions, manage competing priorities, and build consensus among stakeholders with differing agendas.
