Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Analytics Manager to lead client-facing analytics engagements for non-prime lenders. We ask that you have a deep understanding of credit risk, statistical modeling, and the full credit life cycle, with a focus on subprime lending. You will combine technical expertise with exceptional communication skills to deliver actionable insights, guide modeling strategies, and lead high-impact client engagements. You will have at least one direct report. You will report to the Senior Director, Clarity Consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage analytics projects for non-prime lending clients, from scoping to delivery.
- Oversee the development, validation, and deployment of statistical and machine learning models across the credit life cycle (targeting, acquisition, account management, collections, recoveries).
- Provide subject matter expertise in subprime credit risk, including the design of segmentation strategies and decision frameworks.
- Partner with clients to understand business challenges, present findings, and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Translate analytical outputs into clear visualizations, dashboards, and presentations that influence decision-makers.
- Work closely with Sales and Product teams to align analytics solutions with client needs and market opportunities.
- Establish feedback loops with development teams to continuously improve data products, models, and analytics tools.
- Mentor and manage a team of analysts, fostering technical growth and client-readiness.
- Ensure analytics deliverables meet high standards for quality, compliance, and business impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, technology, and risk to drive innovation in modeling and analytics.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, Engineering)
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in modeling and analytics, with a focus on credit risk.
- Experience with subprime or non-prime lending analytics.
- Hands-on exposure to applications across the entire credit life cycle.
- Expertise leading analytics teams and managing client engagements.
- Experience collaborating with Sales and Product teams, and influencing product development roadmaps through analytics insights.
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and Tableau for data manipulation, visualization, modeling, and analysis.
- Experience with data storytelling and dashboard creation.
- Grasp of statistical and machine learning techniques.
