Job Description
Senior Vice President Renewals Team
About the role
The Senior Vice President Renewals is responsible for leading Experian North America's Renewals team to deliver successful outcomes on our largest and most strategic renewals. This role is critical to our growth and customer retention strategy, working cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Product, and Customer Success to ensure renewals are executed effectively and aligned with client value. You will engage with senior Experian leadership, negotiate directly with senior customer stakeholders, lead complex negotiations, and help evolve how we approach renewals at scale.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team responsible for executing and closing complex renewals across the largest accounts in Experian’s customer base
- Serve as the leader for key renewal engagements, driving internal alignment and customer negotiations
- Work directly with senior Experian leadership to garner support and drive action on key renewal negotiations and strategy
- Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Customer Success, Product, and Finance to design renewal strategies and deal structures aligned with both client needs and business goals
- Improve and scale operational frameworks, playbooks, and governance to support best-in-class renewal execution
- Partner with Sales leadership to develop renewal standards, deal strategies, and commercial term consistency across accounts
- Establish and monitor team KPIs and performance metrics tied to revenue retention and renewal efficiency
- This role has a 70/30 commission split and uncapped commissions*
Qualifications
What we are looking for
- Candidates should be from one of the following backgrounds:
- Current Sales leader (VP or higher), ideally with experience in Finance organization, that has demonstrated experience driving significant uplift on renewals outcomes
- Procurement expert, with >10 years’ experience on a procurement team at a large bank / financial institution and experience negotiating against credit and risk data vendors
- All candidates should meet the following characteristics:
- A strong leader with deep experience navigating complex commercial environments and managing strategic customer negotiations
- Demonstrated success driving accountability, clarity, and structure in ambiguous or evolving spaces
- Deep industry knowledge of Experian and its peers, with understanding of the credit lifecycle and the products / services sold to customers
- High executive presence with the ability to influence senior internal stakeholders and engage directly with C-level customers
- Skilled at balancing strategic planning with hands-on deal execution
- Deep understanding of enterprise deal constructs, value-based selling, and contract management
- Experience managing and growing a team with a focus on coaching, performance, and collaboration
- Highly collaborative and experienced operating in a matrixed organization
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college / university

Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education.
