The Role

The Engineering Manager will lead a team of developers, drive collaborative software development, ensure high-quality delivery, and mentor team members while managing project commitments.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead with a robust technical background to join our Australia and New Zealand domain.

You will be based in Hyderabad and reporting to Head of Engineering, ANZ.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Net Framework, Net Core, MVC, Angular, Scripting language, C#, XML, JWT, microservices, event-driven and orchestration design patterns, Microsoft Azure, AWS Serverless /Container-based services, SQL, SQLMI, COSMOS DB, and Tosca Testing Tools. In addition to technical proficiency, the Engineering Lead should embody a whole-team approach, excel in writing unit tests, contribute to test automation, and be well-versed in DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. You will lead and mentor a team of Software and QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  2. Promote continuous learning and professional development within the team.
  3. Design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions using C#,.Net/Python, microservices/event-driven architecture, SQL/NoSQL databases, and other relevant Azure, AWS technologies.
  4. Ensure high quality software delivery through best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
  5. Actively participate in sprints, contributing hands-on to software development and implementation.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and architectural solutions.
  7. Engage in team discussions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to maintain a whole-team approach.
  8. Maintain unit tests and contribute to test automation to ensure software reliability and maintainability.
  9. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to guide technical decisions.
  10. Work closely with Project Management and Agile Leads to deliver on project commitments and timelines.
  11. Manage risks and technical impediments, communicating with leadership to ensure project success.
  12. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  13. Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 12+ years of experience in software development and engineering management with at least 5+ years in people management.
  2. Experience in handling Engineers direct reports with experience in Year End Appraisals.
  3. Strong technical background in C#, Python, Net Framework, Net Core, MVC, Angular, Scripting language , Entity Framework, WCF Windows Service, App service, SSIS packages , microservices, event-driven and orchestration design patterns.
  4. Experience in Leading and mentoring diverse teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive whole-team approach
  5. Experience in writing unit tests and contributing to test automation.
  6. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  7. Ability to stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  8. Experience with Agile methodologies and project management.
  9. Prior experience in the collections and tracing domain will be considered.
