The FP&A team in Costa Rica is looking for a Finance Business Partner for Revenue FP&A functions for North America, working as an extension of the Corporate Team in the U.S. This high-visibility role involves collaboration with CFOs, Senior VPs, and VPs, and finance teams across North America to standardize planning and reporting processes. You will have exposure to executives, requiring confidence in presenting financial results and proactive analysis, to information requests. You will report to the Finance Manager.

Main Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Support monthly, quarterly, and budget reporting for North America, including financial analysis for teams and corporate functions to inform decision-making.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the month-end close, forecast, and budget processes for corporate revenue, managing revenue budgets and overseeing trends, market environment and external factors for North America.
  • Executive Collaboration: Lead meetings with executives (CFO, SVPs, VPs, Directors) to explain financial results and ensure agreement on our goals, providing guidance on financial increases, reductions, and opportunities.
  • Ad-hoc Reporting & Analysis: Build and present ad-hoc analysis reports to explore different scenarios and solutions, supporting teams and corporate teams.
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Guide projects for continuous improvements in standardization, process efficiencies, and system automation, collaborating with finance and technical teams to improve data quality and forecasting.
  • System Management & Documentation: Manage monthly close and forecast processes using Hyperion and Oracle applications, create procedural documents, and ensure adherence to Service level agreements and performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; master’s in business administration, CPA, or related Master’s as an ideal.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, with expertise in month-end processes, reporting, GL, account reconciliation, and P&L analysis.
  • Financial Processes: Experience running forecast and budget processes, managing fixed assets, and analyzing financial variances.
  • System & Tools Proficiency: Excel skills required; experience with financial systems and tools such as OBIEE, Hyperion Planning/Essbase, and SmartView as an ideal.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Knowledge of financial reporting, analysis, and the ability to summarize and explain large amounts of data, including variances to budget and forecast.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Experience presenting to and partnering with senior leaders, with the ability to work across all organizational levels.
