The Senior DevOps Engineer is a hands-on technical position responsible for designing and implementing common framework solutions in a cloud-based environment. In the world of DevOps, infrastructure and code become one. You will be reporting to the Solutions Design Sr. Director, and you will drive platform enhancements, enable automation/self-service and implement new solutions that enable Dev Ops capabilities. As part of the greater Technology Operations & Infrastructure team this person will support the end to end deployment of platform systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, document, and support cloud platform capabilities using AWS best practices (fault tolerant, High Availability, security, etc)
- Design, deploy, document, and support CI/CD tools such as Codebuild and CodePipeline to streamline deployments and infrastructure updates.
- Create monitoring capabilities & alerting for Technical Operations Center (TOC) team members • Provide support for our internal deployment framework
- Perform advanced technical troubleshooting for cloud & e-commerce environments
- Enhance system performance and features on a regular basis for enhanced customer experience • Participate in on-call rotation with the team
- Lead technical operations projects from requirements, to design, to implementation, to operations.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years experience in a system administrator role with at least 2 years supporting DevOps concepts focused on CI/CD and pipeline management.
- Knowledge of the DevOps tool chain (CI/CD) on the AWS Linux platform: Jenkins, Nexus OSS, Artifactory, Harness, Code Pipeline, Code Build, Code Deploy, GitHub, GitLab, Chocolaty, CloudFormation, JIRA, Travis, etc.
- Deployed applications in Amazon AWS, Google or Azure
- Proficiency in system design & architecture
- Fluent in Python and infrastructure management tool (Troposphere, Terraform, etc) • An ability to use several open source technologies
- Deploying automation solutions in a public cloud environment such as AWS
- Bachelor of Science or comparable experience Qualifications Required: Other skills
- Knowledge of the DevOps tool chain (CI/CD) on the AWS Linux platform: Jenkins, Nexus OSS, Artifactory, Harness, Code Pipeline, Code Build, Code Deploy, GitHub, GitLab, Chocolaty, CloudFormation, JIRA, Travis, etc.
- Understanding of Linux system administration for an e-commerce business
- Documentation skills
- Experience with innovation and automation
- Interested about Infrastructure as Code
- Operationally experienced, experience with overseeing, alerting, and analyzing system metrics to root cause problems and explain system behavior

This is a permanent home-based role in Costa Rica. No relocation available.
