You will be an integral part of our talented development team involved in mission-critical applications.

The ideal candidate for this position must have an extensive background as a software developer for Java related technologies.

This position is responsible for designing and coding software assignments, including new developments, enhancements, maintenance or production support.

It is important for this position to focus on completing and implementing solutions to meet customer requirements, and for this, it is important to demonstrate a sense of urgency and to always pursue work with drive and energy.

This position should also show ownership in order to meet quality and performance standards, along with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

The position will assist their manager in the planning of each task and will also assist their team in designing solutions.

We are therefore looking for a strong team player.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzes, designs, develops, codes, implements, tests and supports, including production fixes for, the programs in one or more programming languages/frameworks, for a specific assigned software system or systems.

• Identifies and resolves application, database software, and programming problems.

• Defines specifications and develops programs, modifies existing programs, prepares test data, and prepares functional specifications.

• Conducts unit testing / integration testing of functionality developed.

• Analyzes program performance during execution while using various programming languages and techniques.

• Identifies potential process improvement areas and suggests options and recommends approaches

. • Provides technical guidance to development team, adhering to standards and policies.

• Provides guidance to non-technical staff in using software and hardware systems most effectively and efficiently.

• Reviews project proposals, evaluates alternatives, provides estimates and makes recommendations.

• Establishes, participates, and maintains relationships with business units, customers and Information Technology subject matter experts to remain apprised of direction, project status, architectural and technology issues, risks, and functional/integration issues.

• Responsible for development of system functionality.

• Operate through Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, support Product Owner and other business stakeholders to manage and prioritise product backlog and roadmap, and provide solid effort estimation to manage delivery expectations.

• Plan, coordinate and manage the work with QA, development and business teams, and act as a focal point across these stakeholders.

• Responsible for L1-L2 production support as needed and working flexibly as required by Australian business.

• Follow the Vulnerability Management framework by providing application remediation support, raising risks through Issue Management process, and generating reports to determine vulnerability status.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including peers, testers, and business analysts to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.

• Provide status updates, resolve queries, and manage expectations. Foster positive relationships with stakeholders.

• Contribute to process documentation and knowledge articles.  

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master's Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Science & Technology or equivalent.

• At least 5-8 year(s) of work experience in the related field is required for this position.

• Self-driven professional who can succeed with little supervision.

Skills Primary Skills

• Proficient in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, JavaScript, HTML, Bootstrap 5.0, jBoss EAP

• Proficient in Hive, Pentaho Data Integration (ETL), Cloudera Data Platform • Proficient in AWS EKS, AWS ECR, Amazon S3

• Working knowledge of MS SQL Server, OpenResty 1.19 Desirable Skills

• Working knowledge of CI/CD (Jenkins, Harness), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

• Experience in Visualization tools (Tableau, JupyterHub).

• Experience in Veracode SAST and SCA, Wiz.io, Panaseer, Code Analysis and Quality Tools (SonarQube)

• Source Code Management (Bit Bucket, Git). Secondary Skills • Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

• Vormetric Transparent Encryption (Thales)

• Knowledge in WAF (Imperva).

Other Skills

• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.

• Experience building large applications and good understanding of complex, multi-tier architectures.
