Job Description

Role Purpose:

 

The Consultant Oracle Financials is primarily responsible for functioning in a Global DevOps environment, to design and develop technical/ configuration solutions for all Change Requests across Global Corporate Systems & Services (GCSS) for Oracle Financials modules. He/ She should ensure that projects/ change requests are delivered on time, to budget, and with the right quality, by involving in design reviews, code deployment, and systems testing etc. He/ she shall be responsible for managing incident tickets raised for PRODUCTION issues, and meeting SLA, in Oracle Financials modules, including incident triage and resolution. This role requires 50-50 involvement in functional and technical space.

Major Job Functions:

    1. Responsibilities (Functional)
      1. Provide functional design and configuration solutions in support of Experian’s global business processes
      2. Support the effort to build and update Experian’s global business processes
      3. Develop a deep understanding of global business processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities
      4. Interact with Subject matter experts (SME), Global process owners (GPO), and Business users to understand business requirements, provide definitive solutions
      5. Deliver changes in the following Oracle modules –

 

P2P

  • Accounts Payable
  • E-Business Tax

  • Procurement and iProcurement (including Supplier Punchout)

      1. Prepare configuration guides (BR100), business requirements (RD50), functional design (MD50), conversions (CV40), test scripts and training manuals
      2. Conduct impact analysis of a change e.g. patches, scripts, data fixes and change requests
      3. Identify and suggest technical and functional process improvements
      4. Generation of test plans for patches/break fixes/change requests to ensure their comprehensiveness and relevance.

 

    1. Responsibilities (Technical)
      1. Deliver technical RICEW components that follows Experian custom build standards, deliver to user expectations and perform within expected benchmark levels and Experian global processes
      2. Prepare technical design (MD70), Conversion (CV60), deployment (MD120) documents, and unit test scripts
      3. Responsible for deployment and release of technical changes, in all environments (DEV to PRODUCTION)
      4. Communicate well with peers within, and across tracks, to develop a full understanding of what is being build, and in sharing common RICEW objects
      5. Support PRODUCTION issues, in aiding R&D, problem solving, and sharing of knowledge to continuously improve our service levels
      6. Perform code review for CRs delivered by technical team members

 

    1. Responsibilities (Process)
      1. Operate in a global DevOps environment, working to deliver Change Requests (CR) and resolution of PRODUCTION incidents concurrently
      2. Follow either traditional waterfall methodology, or agile methodologies (i.e. scrum, Kanban) to deliver CR/ Projects depending on business requirements
      3. Provide Peer approval for UAT and PRODUCTION deployment for CRs delivered by the delivery team
      4. Follow global processes for incident triage and resolution (i.e. follow-the-sun model)
      5. Provide positive input to regular team meetings, to enhance both the quality of the application, and improve knowledge and expertise within the team
      6. Work independently with minimum supervision and guidance, to deliver project/ support tasks
      7. Self-learn and apply knowledge to problems faced in day-to-day tasks and share with peers by maintaining the GCSS ERP knowledge base.

 

Qualifications

    1. Degree preferably in Computer Science/ Software Engineering or MIS
    2. Cloud - Functional (Procurement and SCM)
    3. Cloud technical: BIP, OTBI, OIC, FBDI, Apex and VBCS
    4. Oracle Applications R12 development experience
    5. More than 8 years of experience in Oracle Financials
    6. Good understanding of statutory and regulatory reporting and process requirements
    7. Solid experience creating, maintaining, enhancing, and tuning PL/SQL programs
    8. Hands-on experience in Oracle Application Framework – OAF (i.e. Ability to create, extend, deploy OA framework pages, and ability to personalize Core and OAF pages)
    9. Oracle Forms, Reports and BI Publisher tool experience
    10. Oracle Workflow design and development experience
    11. Knowledge in Java, J2EE, WebLogic, HTML, JavaScript
    12. ODI and Oracle Approvals Management (AME)
    13. Configure WebADI
    14. Data loader tool experience
    15. Oracle Alerts
    16. Well-versed in Oracle AOL functionalities
    17. Unix Shell scripting experience
    18. Experience using version control and code promotion tools (BitBucket, Jenkins)
    19. Experience of using incident and change tracking software (ServiceNow)
    20. 8 years of IT development experience on large Oracle ERP implementations or Support environments
    21. Ability to handle conflicting priorities
    22. Proven experience in Service and Delivery of Oracle ERP implementations
    23. Excellent Analytical skills
    24. Team player with abilities to work in complex cross-functional and geographically diverse teams
    25. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    26. Fluent in English
