Job Description

Within Experian’s Chief Risk Office (CRO), we are on a transformational journey of evolving our approach to Operational Risk Management; as such we are looking for a Senior Instructional Designer to support on driving this agenda at pace. The role holder will have extensive experience leading the instruction design and development of comprehensive learning solutions utilizing multiple delivery vehicles preferably within a globally matrixed organization. They will have in-depth experience in building robust relationships across Risk, Compliance, and the business to understand the current challenges of Experian's Risk & Compliance landscape.

Additionally, they will be bringing their own extensive market experience of best practices in the Operational Risk Management Learning space. They will be able to consult with process and policy owners to support the building and implementation plans for delivery of content and structuring of curricula.

The purpose of this role is to consult with SME's and then recommend and implement learning solutions that satisfy the learner outcomes deemed necessary by the stakeholders and business.

Customer

Operational

  • Work with SMEs to identify appropriate solutions for learning delivery. 
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to create, maintain, and enhance online and onsite training.
  • Maintain and enhance existing learning assets to ensure the content delivered is accurate and up to date.
  • Research and implement new digital learning trends, in conjunction with team leadership.
  • Act as liaison between business and external e-learning suppliers, as needed.

Regulatory Governance and Control 

  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements within role responsibility and escalate issues quickly.  Proactively identify risks and make recommendation to mitigate these.
  • Understand and adhere to specific regulatory obligations and company policies and procedures.
  • Performance Management
  • Participate in performance management processes, including setting personal objectives and development plans.
  • Complete required training and adhere to competency requirements.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
    • 5-7 years of experience leading the instructional design and development of comprehensive and impactful learning solutions utilizing multiple delivery vehicles (instructor-led-vILT, video, eLearning, microlearning, simulations, reinforcement, gamification, job aides, etc.) to meet objectives in a professional environment.
    • Experience administrating Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably Cornerstone OnDemand.
    • Expert knowledge of applying sound instructional design and adult learning principles to the design and development of all learning assets.
    • A high level of mastery in Articulate 360 and Microsoft Office 365, Camtasia and Vyond.
    • Expert knowledge in determining business needs, conducting training needs analysis, crafting learning objectives, curating content to meet those objectives, creating assessments, measuring ROI.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
    • An ability to work effectively as part of a team.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and take ownership from initiation to completion, within
    • established guidelines.
    • An ability to work under pressure, when necessary, delivering on established deadlines.
    • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
    • Highly proficient in written and spoken English.

    Nice to Have

    • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field
    • Related Professional Certification(s) from The Association for Talent Development (ATD) or similar organizations.
    • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite for multimedia creation

    This is a permanent home-based role in Costa Rica. No relocation available.
