Job Description

Experian Digital Workplace (EDW) provides IT consulting and technical support for front-office and back-office software systems. The EDW Billing team is looking for a Technical Application Support Specialist to support and enhance in-house corporate applications.

What you will be doing:

  • Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to application functionality
  • Coordinating the resolution of technical activities (e.g. incidents, requests, enhancements) with users and vendors
  • Reviewing functional requirements and technical designs
  • Analyzing, designing, developing, testing and implementing changes to the application
  • Identifying potential improvement areas and recommending solutions
  • Producing application documentation e.g. operational guide, FAQs, architecture diagrams

Qualifications

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience on a similar role
  • Fluency in English
  • Hands-on experience with SQL to create queries and generate reports
  • Ability to read Java code
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical individuals
  • Previous experience supporting and maintaining corporate applications
  • Self-starter able to work proactively and with minimal supervision
  • Team player with abilities to work in complex cross-functional and geographically diverse teams

It would be considered an advantage if you have:

  • All-round IT applications experience e.g. software development lifecycle, post-implementation support, data migrations, application upgrades
  • Previous exposure to Java, Linux, cloud-based applications
