Job Description

The successful candidate will be accountable for the following key duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Month End close and Forecast process.
  • Manage reporting, including Headcount, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
  • Proactively develop a deep understanding of the area to effectively manage expectations.
  • Provide Management Reporting, commentary, and variance analysis for a couple of groups wide requirements.
  • Co-ordinate and streamline processes across the Finance team to ensure high quality and on time inputs from the various stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to appropriate financial controls, including a robust Balance Sheet process.
  • Support Strategic Planning, and Budget season for one of our business units. 
  • Drive continuous improvements for forecast accuracy, process efficiencies, and system automation.
  • Support ad-hoc assignments as needed.
  • Direct management of employees to support in the above deliverables in a timely and efficient manner, focused on Consolidation and Labor Planning Forecast.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting or related field.
  • Master’s in business administration, Certified Public Accountant, other related Master degree preferred.
  • Advanced English level. 
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Finance.
  • Strong knowledge and experience managing the month end financial processes including reporting, variance analysis, commentary, and reconciliations. 
  • Experience presenting and collaborating with Senior Leadership levels.
  • Hyperion (SmartView/Essbase) experience as a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform detailed analysis and effectively summarize findings to senior management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization.

Additional Information

This is a permanent home-based role in Costa Rica. No relocation available.
