Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Developer to join Experian Digital business. The Senior Developer plays a key role in implementing solutions that deliver business benefits for our customers. This includes new prospects and new requests from existing customers, supporting requests, and actively participating in the pre-sales and delivery phases of complex projects.

Qualifications

What you’ll need to bring to the role & Experian

  • Robust experience with the designing, coding, testing, and installation of applications programs, either in one major program or a range of programs across multiple platforms.
  • Competency in preparing and maintaining systems and program documentation.
  • A passion for assisting in the analysis and design of applications programs in consultation with clients
  • Exceptional codifying and troubleshooting applications program skills
  • Demonstrated skills in liaising with key end users

 

Work those matters - What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll be working with a technical stack includes Java, Groovy, JavaScript, HTML, Web Services, .Net, all hosted on a multi cloud environment.   
  • Assist pre-sales with client facing technical documentation, presentations and workshops
  • Design of solution architecture and integration specifications in line with industry standards
  • Provide technical advice and support to sales and clients
  • Development of interfaces and bespoke modules to meet client requirements.
  • Assist Project Managers on assessing, planning, and organising project workload to meet project commitments within agreed timelines within an Agile environment.
  • Develop a deep / expert knowledge of Experian products and industries that Experian works with, particularly Open Banking and Open Data
  • Accountable for the quality of the project deliverables and impact to clients.

More about you

  • Strong knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Groovy, Web Services and HTML is an absolute must for this role as well as a good understanding or enthusiasm to learn  .NET
  • We require that you have 5+ years experience in a similar capacity / industry
  • Experience with Experian Powercurve technology and solutions is highly desirable
  • Experience with at least one source control system (Bitbucket, SVN, Git)
  • Concepts of continuous integration, automated testing and other automation framework (Ansible, Jenkins)
  • Desirable but not essential skills include Elastic Search and Machine Learning. Hands on experience with AWS or Azure services.
  • International experience and ability to work with virtual/remote teams
