Job Description

Ø  Work as Subject Matter Expert in Shared Services, API COE Team that supports multiple Business Units within Enterprise.

Ø  Design and Build API proxies in different vendor products such as Apigee(must have), AWS gateway(must have) and DataPower (a plus).

Ø  Working knowledge of on-premise/cloud-based infrastructures, SDLC pipelines, and deployments/configurations and definition/evangelism of best practices/standards.

Ø  Good understanding various of Integration Patterns to provide integration between legacy backend systems and modern applications developed using Microservices Architecture.

Ø  Implement requirements of the API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, monetization, request and response modifications, etc. using Apigee and AWS API Gateway.

Ø  Hands on experience setting up Apigee Edge, Apigee Hybrid and configuring various Apigee components. Apigee OPDK experience is a plus (but not required).

Ø  Experience using API Developer Portal to expose and browse the APIs.

Ø  Create custom policies in Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, etc. in Apigee.

Ø  Build and create shared flows for Error Handling, Security and other scenarios as deemed necessary.

Ø  Previous experience in API Design, Swagger, YAML, JSON, Developer Portal, etc.

Ø  Implementing API Security and Access Control (OAuth/SAML/OIDC, Web SSO, SSL, etc.).

Ø  Ability to learn new technologies and complete Proof-of-Concept (POC), MVP releases in a timely manner with limited budget and resources.

Ø  Experience in Agile and/or SAFe development methodologies

Ø  Previous experience in CI/CD pipeline using tools/frameworks such as Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, etc.

Ø  Individual Contributor and comfortable with completing the assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

Ø  Design & implement solution that comply with Non-functional requirements such as Logging, Monitoring, Alerting, Security, Auditability, etc.

Ø  Process-oriented and being to identify/implement opportunities for Improvement in SDLC.

Ø  Mentor operations team and junior members to successfully support the team after Go-Live.

Ø  Strong written communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

Ø  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems

Ø  Minimum of 5 years of experience Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems

Ø  Software development in Java/JEE, web and middleware integration technologies like web services, RESTful API's, etc.

Ø  Application development frameworks like Spring, Hibernate and AngularJS.

Ø  Development experience with Apigee and AWS API Gateway.

Ø  Automation tools for build/deployment - Maven, Jenkins, etc.

Ø  Experience with Scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Functional programming, etc.

Ø  Strong knowledge of Apigee component architecture and implementation configurations.

Ø  Experience in Container and container-orchestration frameworks like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift is a plus.

Ø  Web Services and API testing tools like SoapUI, Postman, etc.

Ø  Experience with Swagger API framework, Open API framework and Swagger Hub.

Ø  Previous experience in API Design, Swagger, YAML, JSON, Developer Portal, etc.

 

Nice to have

Ø  Experience with Datapower Gateway IDG/X2s, XSLT and Gateway scripts.

Ø  Experience with monitoring and logging tools - Dynatrace, Splunk etc.

Ø  Exposure to IAM products like Okta.

Ø  Exposure to Azure, EKS etc.

Ø  Working knowledge of CI/CD with Jenkins, Git etc.

Ø  Experience in database technologies such as MySQL and Oracle.

Ø  Experience working with teams across different locations.
