    Job Description

    As a Senior Manager-Security Architect you will manage and lead a team of Security Architects within the Experian Global Security Office (GSO) that are responsible for assisting and determining security requirements of new solutions, ensuring control effectiveness, and focus on service excellence for both Experian GSO Security Engineering and the rapidly changing and innovative businesses it supports; research, design, planning and testing of security systems; ensuring solutions meet security standards, policies, and procedures; act in a security consulting role on any security related matters. 

     

    Job Duties

    • Develop and propose business cases to senior leadership to drive new cybersecurity technology adoption; close gaps in controls; and increase efficiencies within the security and business environments
    • Lead team to enhance architecture, maturity and effectiveness of existing technologies and controls to ensure maximum protection throughout the environment, both on-prem and cloud (People, Processes, Technology)
    • Push team to achieve their maximum potential by relentlessly removing barriers and obstacles that inhibit successful deployment of security strategies and solutions
    • Create and maintain performance improvement plans tailored for each team member to ensure objectives are met and to cultivate innovation and nurture job satisfaction
    • Work with business leaders to understand environment, assess and identify risks of new and existing business applications and inform of existing and emerging security technology solutions applicable to their environment
    • Continuous development of short-term and long-term protection strategies that align to business objectives
    • Remain current with new security threats and assess systems to ensure they can defend the business
    • Stay informed on current and emerging cybersecurity solutions on the market and make recommendations to security leadership
    • Review and manage pertinent technology, training, and other capital budgets

    Qualifications

    To be able to grow in this role you will need a background of achievements to support your development. In your previous role(s) you will have actively participated in delivering projects and initiatives that will have included:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
    • A proven background of 7-10 years’ related experience using multiple defense-in-depth security control technologies, design, and implementation
    • Minimum of three to five years’ management experience with large teams
    • Minimum of eight years’ experience working with defense-in-depth security technologies across large enterprises
    • A minimum of three years’ experience working with Cloud computing technologies, including software-, infrastructure and platform-as-a-service, as well as public, private and hybrid environments
    • Must have a security certification such as CISSP, CISA, CISM
    • Effective communication skills – ability to  communicate with the business and executive leadership topics related to  security initiatives and cybersecurity issues
    • Large-scale installation of new technology in a multi-cultural environment, into an operation environment
    • Implemented client impacting changes, and be able to demonstrate your participation in communicating with clients
    • Experience with delivering security technologies within large enterprise environments
    • Inspire others and help them to develop
