Job Description

Ensure that Technology optimizes relationships and commercial terms with vendor and partner population, to maximize business benefit from third-party supplier arrangements. 

You will lead a team of approx. 5-10 professionals, located in multiple global locations.  Build, develop and lead a team with skills required to transition Experian into an organization which has best-in-class approach to technology vendor/partner management and achieves best-in-class results

You will also drive achievement of best-in-class technology cost performance; develop and maintain strong and mutually supportive relationships with internal partners, to ensure joint objectives are achieved; and play a key role in leading Experian through technology transformation, leveraging appropriate change management practices and skills 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own Technology partner/vendor strategy, including strategic partnership approach
  • Develop and implement global standard vendor management processes to ensure that vendor obligations are managed and that value is maximized
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate the risks associated to vendor reliance, operational and financial performance
  • Foster and drive strategic supplier-enabled innovation and value creation
  • Lead the process to enter into new/renewed arrangements with third parties, this includes demand management, vendor selection, RFP (where appropriate), and contract negotiation (in partnership with Procurement)  
  • Facilitate and maintain relationships between Technology and vendors/partners
  • Ensure that vendor/partner relationships are optimized across Experian
  • Develop and deliver high quality analysis to demonstrate value from vendor/partner relationships
  • Drive innovation in process and technology used to manage vendor/partner relationships in conjunction with Procurement
  • Develop and maintain strong partnership with Experian technology teams, supporting a “One Experian” approach to delivering best-in-class performance
  • Work collaboratively with global business groups to support due diligence in support of M&A activities (particularly where Experian is acquiring technology-based companies)   
  • Support the global top 30 Supplier Relationship Management programme for tech vendors

 

 

Qualifications

  • Professional experience in financial services, IT or related industry in a technology vendor management/procurement related role
  • Extensive experience operating and leading in a complex global organization
  • People leadership skills, with proven experience in building and developing global teams
  • Stakeholder management and partnership skills
  • Extensive experience in preparing and analyzing investment cases, including complex financial analysis to support major contract negotiations
  • Proven ability to operate in a “challenging business partner” role, acting as sparring partner with senior technology leaders in order to optimize strategy and results
  • Extensive experience working with technology vendors – including public cloud providers, with proven ability to design and deliver optimal commercial structures
  • Experience in supporting M&A activities, specifically undertaking financial due diligence associated with acquisition of technology entities
  • Proactive, positive, innovative operating style and approach
