Job Description

Primary role: IWS/z and IWS/d Software Administration
·    Provide expert Scheduling software support on z/OS and other platforms 
·    Ensure high availability of Test, UAT/Dev., and Production TWS environments 
·    Support native Planning functions for IWS/z and IWS/d 
·    Support all Batch Utilities, Tables, JCL availability and Auto-Escalations  
·    Support Audit Trail; TWS Metrics/Reporting, WAPL jobs, Housekeeping jobs
·    Provide on-call support (24x7x365) for TWS services and Scheduling issues
Primary role: IWS/TWS deployments, upgrades, and maintenance      
·    Deploy and support Scheduling software across platforms   
·    Maintain software versions and fixes for TWS components 
(e.g., Application, DB, GUI, Agents; Controller, Trackers) 
·    Manage all aspects of IWS/d upgrades and deployments  
·    Author Test Cases to validate native/new functionality 
·    Coordinate BU testing of bespoke programmed interfaces
·    Implementation planning with Systems Admin teams   
·    Communications with Operations, Schedulers, End-Users  
·    Attend off-hours Change implementation windows 
·    TWS Problem escalations (internal and vendor support) 
Support role: Mainframe system upgrades and Business Continuity  
·    Author test cases/procedures to validate Scheduling service stability  
·    Support TWS-related ITDR activities; and off-hour support as needed 
Support role: Mainframe and distributed Scheduling implementations 
·    Approve, implement, quality-check TWS Scheduling Changes across platforms  
·    Train Schedulers and support complex TWS/z and TWS/d Scheduling Changes 
·    Automate escalations for failed jobs and late processes to manage client SLA’s 
Primary role: Support EITS-managed integrations, e.g., TWS/z and Ops/MVS 
·    Design/Test/Implement new integrations as required by the business 
·    Plan/Build/Run testing scenarios for custom/bespoke use-cases 
·    Comms and implementation coordination w/EITS and BU teams 


·    Formal Mainframe Concepts/Fundamentals education - or job experience in a similar role

·    Formal Distributed Concepts/Fundamentals education - or job experience in a similar role


·    ITIL Certification or equivalent experience

·    At least 5 years working within a complex batch processing environment

·    Job Scheduling competencies on Mainframe and Distributed systems

·    Workload Automation software administration on Mainframe and Distributed systems
