Job Description

This position will be providing operational support to Experian Apigee Edge Cloud and On Premises platforms, as well as support to internal and external clients in the areas of API integration, testing and day to day operation.  As a member of the team that owns these platforms, it is expected that platform implementations, deployments and maintenance operations can be planned, driven and executed.  A proactive and driven individual is required as this position’s responsibilities require investigation, solution creation, follow up and successful conclusion.

What you’ll be doing

Plan, drive and execute Apigee Edge Cloud and On Premises platform implementations, deployments and maintenance operations
Provide day to day operational support to multiple internal Developer Teams at Experian
Provide day to day operational support to multiple external clients who consume Experian APIs on the platform
Perform the administrator role for the Apigee Edge Platforms across all regions
Create the required procedures and documentation as needed for all position tasks

Qualifications

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following: 

  • 3 years IT Operations and/or REST API Development and Management
  • Working knowledge and support experience of security mechanisms such as OAuth and authorization headers
  • Intermediate Network Knowledge
  • Intermediate DataPower Knowledge
  • Intermediate Openshift/PaaS Knowledge
  • Intermediate Firewall/WAF Knowledge
  • Experience working with AWS 
  • High School Diploma and/or Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Full command of English language (oral and written)
  • Strong verbal and oral communication skills as the role requires working with internal and external Experian clients.
  • Strong people/soft skills and proven ability to network
  • Ability to innovate and drive automation 
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.  
  • Ability and willingness to quickly adapt to change/new strategies within a very short turnaround.
  • Avid and fast learner able to keep up with the latest platforms, technology tools and marketing solutions through partnerships.
  • Proven previous job stability, including maintaining long-term work relationships with former employers
  • Must be able to clear the company’s pre-employment screening

Desirable Skills/ Experience

  • 3 years IT Operations/Support experience in Apigee Edge Cloud and On Premises platforms
  • ITIL Certified 
  • Apigee API Engineer Certified 
  • Cloud Architect/Engineer on Apigee (Hybrid) 
  • Cloud Architect/Engineer on Apigee (Private Cloud) 
  • Developing APIs with Google Cloud's Apigee API Platform 
  • Proven documentation skills (Technical writing)
