Job Description – Full Stack Developer


We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer, which means different things to different people, but in EITS Global Platforms it means that you’ll understand how to build for the web using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and that you’re comfortable writing backend code in Java but that most importantly you are excited to try new technologies and different ways of working.


What you’ll be doing


As a Full Stack Developer, you must be a software development expert with solid and well-rounded background in developing large-scaled software systems


Main responsibilities for this position include:

• Analyzes, Troubleshoots, and develops software applications that are highly distributed and scalable

• Monitors and assesses the health and performance of the software applications and databases

• Support Ends users in issues they are encountering in the Applications

• Assists in enhancing the DevOps strategy for building and deploying our microservices and databases in PaaS environments as well as in the cloud

• Works on cloud-based and distributed computing platforms in Fintech where scale and complexity are considered

• Participates in agile software development for enterprise-level systems including component design and implementation

• Applies deep understanding of application and enterprise software design for implementation of data services and middleware.


Experience & Qualifications


What your background looks like


• At least three years of HTML and CSS

• At least three years of JavaScript, with experience specifically in Angular and Typescript

• Five to seven years of core Java programming skills (Java 8)

• Expertise in microservices/APIs using Java, SpringBoot, containerization, NoSQL and SQL databases on cloud, such as AWS

• Proficient with Restful API development using REST/JSON interfaces

• Experience in Agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean or Less


• At least three to five years of SQL and Relational Database Experience, preferably Postgres SQL

• Comfortable with agile software development methodologies: Scrum, unit testing, code reviews, etc.

• Experience working with Cloud environments and technologies (Openshift, AWS preferred)

• Familiarity with Jenkins and GIT

• Experience working with remote teams

• Strong knowledge of test-driven development, including code coverage and profiling, mocking, design patterns, readability, extensibility and testability of code, documentation, web application security, performance testing and tuning

• Developed solutions using Spring, Angular, continuous integration, and automated testing

• A degree in computer science or a similar field, or additional relevant work experience

• A propensity to create tools to automate repetitive tasks

• A deep-seated desire to learn new skills

• Experience writing cloud deployed applications using Platforms as a Service (e.g., Heroku, OpenShift) Amazon Web Services
